little farmers

“When preschoolers watch a plant grow,
they see how it mirrors their own development,
from a seed or speck inside Mommy’s tummy
to something that gets bigger and stronger every day.”

A few days ago I planted seeds with Owen and Clara. Today Owen noticed the green sprouts for the first time and exclaimed,
“Holy cow, look Mom!”

I love your handwriting on the side of the pots - so artistic. What plants are the bigger ones that the kids were getting ready to plant?

We planted the snap peas and purple beans in the back yard, but they didn't survive. We'll start some more beans from seed in the ground to grow on the trellis.
